Today I finally bought a desk, I was ecstatic about not having to sit on the floor while my monitor sits in a chair to utilize my computer. While setting it up I foolishly set my monitor on the belfry while adjusting some cables under the desk and to my dismay it tipped and croaky an entire corner of the screen. Now a good portion of the pixels are discolored and there are a few lines down the right side of the screen showing only cyan. It'southward an LG 29UB55-B 29 inch a 250USD monitor. My question is, bold the warranty doesn't cover me being a fool, should I attempt to ship information technology in to LG to become it repaired? How much would that cost if they had to replace the whole screen? It seems similar it would be similar to the price of the monitor. I'm inclined to sell it for parts and become for a dual or triple monitor setup. Any communication or shared experience is appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your monitor, merely my guess is that the repair cost, including shipping would exist close to what you could buy a replacement for. In today's disposable lodge, repairing virtually electronics is only non worth it. I have replaced capacitors in the power supplies of several monitors/TVs to salve an otherwise not working device, but the entire screen is another affair.

Well it depends on how much they will charge. if its not nether warranty, you will be paying shipping costs both ways plus the repair toll. They will too probably keep it for several weeks.
And then information technology becomes a question of how long tin you live without your monitor? vs the cost of repair vs the price of a new one.

Correct, and then any idea how much it would cost to supplant the unabridged screen on a 250 dollar monitor?
